On motivation and IE7

Despite my apathy towards IE7, I was intrigued after recently reading an article on positioniseverything about its planned CSS upgrades. I couldn't help but wonder what it is that the IE developers are trying to do. Their motivation interests me, if not their browser.

Browser-specific CSS @ rules

I've been messing with some new CSS ideas lately with a remodel of this site in mind, and I created a layout that I liked, so I started to code it. It worked great in Safari and Firefox, and I was at a point where I was comfortable with it. So I launched Virtual PC to give the layout the infamous Internet Explorer 6 test.

Update on the China project

If you read about my little China project that I wrote yesterday morning, I was getting 1,000 hits per day from China, and at the time of that entry I had received 4,718 total hits.

Javascript Dock Complete

Since I started working with this project, I've been plugging away with it trying this and that, and didn't originally have a home for it. I had a test page set up to show the latest version of it, and that was about it. Now that it's done (at least done for the time being), I have found a home. In the early stages of forming Fuzzy Coconut, one of the working titles was "Unladen Swallow." I registered unladen-swallow.com at that point, and put up a simple splash page with a list of links on it. It occurred to me that that would be an excellent place to show the new script. Unladenswallow.com is the new home for this script
